Shipping / Returns / Warranty Information

Shipping- Online orders are shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service), UPS (United Parcel Service), or FedEx (Federal Express) based on the method selected when checking out (see Note 2 below regarding oversize packages). Orders for in-stock items are typically shipped within one business day, but that handling time cannot be guaranteed due to varying order volumes and stock levels. In the event an item is temporarily out of stock and cannot be shipped right away, you will be notified via the email you have provided to us with your order and the item will be placed on backorder unless you request to cancel the order. Items ordered with Express or Next Day shipping must be placed by 1PM CST to ship the same day. We take care in packing orders so they arrive safe and undamaged, however we do not place any extra insurance coverage on the packages, so your placement of an order is acknowledgement that all orders are shipped at your own risk in the event a package is lost, damaged, stolen, or is delayed for any reason. We are located in Forest Lake, Minnesota and MN state and local taxes are charged at the time of the order when applicable, however any additional taxes, duties, customs, or brokerage fees that may be due upon arrival are your responsibility as the purchaser. If your order is extremely urgent or time sensitive, we encourage you to call us at 651-982-6020 to place the order over the phone, and if you have any other questions or concerns about shipping, product availability, or application/fitment, please call or email us prior to placing the order online. Estimated delivery times for USPS shipping services can be seen in the cart when checking out online, and UPS Ground and FedEx Home Delivery shipping times can be seen on the maps below- these times are not guaranteed but represent the time it typically takes for a package to be delivered after it is picked up from our warehouse. Note 1: We ship only on Monday through Friday, however USPS will deliver any shipment on Saturday, FedEx Home Delivery will deliver on Saturday or Sunday in select zip codes, and UPS will only deliver Ground and 3 Day packages to select zip codes on Saturdays, however Next Day Air or Overnight packages will be sent Saturday delivery if available to your zip code. Unless a package is eligible for Saturday delivery, UPS does not count Saturday and Sunday as days in transit (examples, a shipment with one day transit time sent on a Friday may not arrive until Monday, or a shipment with a three day transit time sent on a Thursday may not arrive until Tuesday). This means weekend delivery is subject to the carrier's service procedures to your area and is not guaranteed. Note 2: Due to rising shipping costs on oversize packages, large items that require boxes over 2 cubic feet or 30" long such as pipes and headers may be sent via UPS or FedEx instead of USPS (and vice-versa), or through Spee-Dee Delivery at our discretion without further notice. This is necessary in order to keep shipping costs reasonably low and to avoid passing on the costly surcharges for oversize or dimensional weight packaging that are applied by the carriers at the time we ship the item, but are not calculated by the shipping estimator on this website. Spee-Dee Delivery provides shipping services that are typically 1 to 2 business days to all of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, as well as select cities and ZIP Codes in Michigan, Missouri, and Nebraska. If your package is shipped Spee-Dee, the shipping notification email will have a number beginning in SP that can be tracked here- https://speedeedelivery.com/track-a-shipment/

PLEASE NOTE:  UPS, FedEx, and USPS are all experiencing unprecedented volume increases and service impacts on domestic and international services, as well as occasional weather impacts. Shipments may take longer than usually predicted, so the best way to ensure the fastest delivery on urgent shipments is to select one of the expedited services as the carriers put them before the standard services such as Ground, Home Delivery, First Class Mail, or Priority Mail even if the standard and expedited services are both normally 1 or 2 day delivery. USPS will miss a daily pickup here on occasion, and their distribution and customs clearance processes can take longer on international shipments so we recommend UPS or FedEx if you want the fastest, most reliable service regardless of the destination. Insurance claims for lost packages can only be made after there has been no tracking updates for 30 days and claim limits are $50 to $100 depending on the service used, except for First Class Mail which has NO Insurance. UPS Ground Service Map

Scheduled business days and delivery schedules are revised occasionally due to changes in distribution and volume, especially during holiday periods. Service to some remote areas also may require additional delivery days. The most up-to-date transit time details will be available at ups.com/ctc at the time of shipping. Certain commodities and high value shipments may require additional transit time for customs clearance.

International Shipments- USPS has reduced the number of countries providing electronic delivery confirmation services for First Class International packages. The current list of countries that will continue to show tracking information entered on or after July 1 2020 are: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand.

Electronic tracking includes the US domestic transit, international transit to the destination country, and delivery confirmation in the final destination country. For countries where electronic delivery confirmation is not offered, tracking will consist of the US domestic transit, international transit to the destination country, and arrival in the final destination country. Packages sent by USPS may have additional tracking information available on the destination country's postal service website as well. Your choice of USPS First Class International Package service is acknowledgement that delivery confirmation and insurance may not be provided, and as with all shipments regardless of the service used, placement of an order is acknowledgement that it will be shipped at your own risk in the event a package is lost, damaged, stolen, or is delayed for any reason. Packages sent using USPS Priority Mail International and Priority Mail Express International services are not impacted and are alternatives for international shipments with electronic tracking information and while they do not offer shipping time guarantees, they do offer insurance up to $100 for lost packages subject to the carrier's approval process. 

We do not have any affiliation with the customs offices in any foreign country and do not collect any money on their behalf so what we charge is only for the shipping service based on the carrier rates for the package weight, and any additional taxes, duties, customs, or brokerage fees that may be due upon arrival are your responsibility as the purchaser. Those taxes and fees may vary considerably depending on the destination country and the value of the items purchased, and we do not have the ability to provide you with an estimate or quote for any additional charges beyond the standard shipping rates shown in the shopping cart on this website. USPS uses the postal services in the destination country for customs clearance and the final delivery and those postal services will collect any additional taxes or fees at the time of delivery or at your local post office when you pick up the package. UPS Worldwide Express, Saver, and Expedited (Air) service rates include door-to-door delivery with in-house customs clearance and entry preparation fees included in the rate, however disbursement fees and additional charges may apply. UPS Standard (Ground) to Canada or Mexico does not have entry preparation brokerage fees included in the rate but offers delivery times that may be faster than USPS at a cost much lower than the air services- see additional information for UPS shipments to Canada below. UPS will act as the customs broker on any international shipment to collect all applicable taxes, duties, and fees- those import fees can be paid in advance of the delivery by clicking the "Pay Now" link on the tracking page for your shipment. FedEx International service rates are for the shipping services with customs brokerage included, but any additional taxes, duties, and fees must be paid at the time of delivery. Almost without exception, all USPS international services are going to be less expensive with longer delivery times, and all UPS or FedEx services are going to be more expensive with shorter delivery times. Returns- Return authorization is required for all returns. Contact us for an RA Number, clearly mark the outside of the package with the RA number, include a copy of the invoice and write down the reason for the return, and send the package freight prepaid. Returns are not accepted for items sold at a discount such as closeout, discontinued, scratch and dent, or used items, items that have been installed or used, any electrical part, service tools, or items purchased 30 days or more prior to the return request. Returned merchandise must be in the original packaging with all small parts and hardware originally included, and in brand new condition. A 20% restocking fee will be charged on all returns, except items that are determined to be covered under warranty, or in cases where an incorrect item was shipped. Cancellations of orders using Credit Card or PayPal payments will be subject to a cancellation fee of a minimum 3% plus any currency conversion or other fees assesed to us at the time of purchase as the payment processors do not refund any transaction fees once the payment has been made, even if the request to cancel the order is made before it is processed and shipped. Returns or Cancellations for orders using Affirm Loan Services will also be subject to additional charges as the lender does not refund any transaction fees, finance charges, or interest once you confirm your loan and the order is sent to us, regardless if it has been processed and shipped or is still pending shipment.

 

Warranty- Due to the nature of high performance or racing parts, all items are sold as-is and without warranty unless provided by the original manufacturer. Items manufactured by Speedwerx/Hot Seat Performance that are under question of warranty due to defects in materials or workmanship may be repaired, replaced, or in some cases returned for house credit at our discretion. Cash refunds are not allowed. We require you to contact us for a return authorization for all warranty work. Please include a detailed note explaining the length of time used, cause of failure, and any other relevant information. 

 

IMPORTANT- READ BEFORE PURCHASING! The high performance products we sell are not for installation or operation by "consumers" as defined by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act!  DO NOT order any performance parts unless you have the technical ability to properly set-up the entire machine to compensate for the installation of those parts. References to "bolt-on" parts only indicates the parts are removable from the machine (as opposed to machining or welding type modifications)- it is not meant to imply parts can be installed without additional modification. The necessary work and expertise needed to install different products varies. Instructions, where provided, are given to assist in installation only, they are NOT a substitute for mechanical experience in setting up racing snowmobiles, watercraft, or land based vehicles. References to performance gains, reliability, ease of installation, etc. are based on our, and outside customer's experiences. This is NOT a guarantee of similar performance in every installation. While we sell proven hardware, in the end it's up to the individual racer to make the most of that hardware in his/her application. These items are intended for closed-course competition only. Alteration of emissions-related components can constitute a violation of federal and/or state laws. Substantial fines and penalties can result if used for other than closed-course competition use.
