ELECTROLESS NICKEL PLATING - AUTOMOTIVE HEADER SET

This can be added as an option on any of our headers. The Bright Silver finish is applied via a dip process to help protect your headers from corrosion inside and out. Not only does the plating look great, it also protects your parts from the severe conditions they get put through- it holds up much longer than paint and can extend the life of your headers, helping pay for itself over time. Nickel Plating is the first process used in chrome plating so it will give you a shiny silver finish that will turn blue/purple after it has been run, however it does not have the same highly polished mirror finish as chrome plating. Tri-Y headers and 4-into-1 headers with bolt-on tail sections will have the primary and tail sections plated separately for 100% complete coverage of all surfaces inside and out. The nickel plating option does not have the same thermal barrier properties as ceramic coating, so you may consider the ceramic option if that feature is more desirable.

NOTE: If you wish to send us your headers, we can have them plated as well- additional costs for blasting/surface prep and return shipping will apply. Call us for details. If your headers have extreme corrosion or excessive rusting, the plating may not completely fill the pitting and you may still see or feel the pits in the surface.
